IRRECONCILABLE: Darwin Himself Knew that his Ideas on Evolution Directly Conflicted with The Holy Bible.

Many people try to convince themselves that The Holy Bible is consistent with the ideas regarding evolution attributed to the 19th Century British gentleman named Charles Darwin. For example, in an effort to accommodate the huge amount of time necessary for evolution, some people attach themselves to ideas such as the gap theory and the day-age theory. The gap theory posits essentially that there was a world of chaos before the world we live in was made, and the day-age theory surmises that each "Day" in The Holy Book of Genesis, Chapter 1, is really a metaphor for a tremendously long period of time.

Fortunately, we now have access to a database of many of Mr. Darwin's letters through the Darwin Correspondence Project. The Darwin Correspondence Project makes available to the public the correspondence to and from Mr. Darwin, with footnotes detailing esoteric references.

Within this voluminous correspondence, insight on Mr. Darwin's true objectives in developing his ideas on evolution may be found.

For instance, Mr. Darwin wrote of his disdain for attempts to reconcile Genesis Chapter 1 with evolution -- such as the gap theory and the day-age theory. More specifically, in a letter to B. J. Sullivan, dated May 24, 1861, Darwin stated:

"But I am weary of all these various attempts to reconcile, what I believe to be irreconcilable."

Darwin's statement evinces his stance that evolution and Genesis, Chapter 1 have nothing whatsoever to do with each other!

Thus, Charles Darwin himself clearly knew that his ideas regarding evolution Directly Conflicted with the Account of Creation in Genesis, Chapter 1.

Did Mr. Darwin feel some sort of remorse that his ideas regarding evolution conflicted with The Holy Bible?

Apparently not! For instance, in a letter to his friend J. D. Hooker, dated September 8-10, 1868, over three years after the previous letter, Darwin asserted unapologetically:

"I am not sure whether it would not be wisest for scientific men quite to ignore the whole subject of religion."

Thus, not only did Mr. Darwin hold Genesis, Chapter 1 in disdain, he felt that men that pursued science should completely refrain from anything regarding religion.

The quotes in the above two letters of Mr. Darwin should give pause to any Christian men or women that have been formerly hood-winked into believing 'theories' which endeavor to accommodate evolution - such as the gap theory and the day-age theory, because even Charles Darwin himself thought that such accommodation theories, and religion in general, were hogwash!

Lest there be any residual doubt that the concepts related to evolution developed by Charles Darwin were directly opposed to The Holy Bible, let me relate to you the contents of a letter sent by Mr. Darwin to Frederick McDermott, on November 24, 1880, more than twelve years after the previous letter, and less than two years before his death:

"I am sorry to inform you that I do not believe in the Bible as a divine revelation, & therefore not in Jesus Christ as the son of God."

There you go! Mr. Darwin -- stated in his own words, that he not only did not believe in The Holy Bible, but that he also did not believe that Jesus Christ is The Son of God.

How, or why, then, would anyone try to reconcile the ideas of this irreligious man, with the sacred tenets of Christianity?!

In other words, evolution, the gap theory, the day-age theory, and any other 'theory' purporting to justify the concepts related to evolution, are inherently IRRECONCILABLE with The Holy Bible, as stated by Mr. Darwin himself!

Seen from Mr. Darwin's own admissions in his letters, it is clear that the concepts he fashioned regarding evolution, are antithetical to Christianity and to the basic tenets of belief enshrined in The Holy Bible.

In First Timothy, Chapter 6, 20-21, Paul warned Timothy:

"20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings and oppositions of science falsely so called: 21 Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen."

Do not let your faith suffer. Beware of "oppositions of science falsely so called" such as evolution! Rest your faith in The Holy Bible alone!
